The Latin American Journal of Computing (LAJC) is a Diamond Open Access double-blind peer-reviewed journal, sponsored by the Faculty of Systems Engineering of the Escuela Politécnica Nacional of Ecuador, one of the top research universities in Computer Science in Latin-America. LAJC publishes new results in different areas of computer science, informatics and information and communication technologies (ICTs).

Topics of Interest (not limited to the following):

  • Information security
  • Information systems
  • Intelligent systems
  • Software engineering
  • Science, Technology and Society (STS)
  • Computer Science and Information Technology for inclusive education and disability

When to Submit?

LAJC has a semi-annual periodicity. Prospective authors are cordially invited to contribute to the Journal by submitting their manuscripts for the upcoming issue (2024-2) to be published on the early days of July 2024, or the succeding issue (2025-1) to be published the first days of January 2025.

  • For a manuscript to be potentially published in the July Issue (2024-2):
    • Submission deadline: March 31st, 2024
    • Notification due: May 17th, 2024
    • Final Version due: May 31st, 2024
    • Publication: July 8th, 2024
  • For a manuscript to be potentially published in the January Issue (2025-1):
    • Submission deadline: September 18th, 2024
    • Notification due: October 18th, 2024
    • Final Version due: October 25th, 2024
    • Publication: Early January 2025 (TBD)
